Poonam Dhavan, Head of Health at the International Organization for Migration
(IOM), is a medical doctor and global public health specialist. She directs migration
health policies, integrating IOM’s health programs with global health platforms like
the Global Compacts and 2030 Agenda. With 16 years of experience, Dr Dhavan
has held roles at WHO, IOM, and the University of Texas, specializing in health
services for migrants and vulnerable populations.
