Hibak Kalfan is the Executive Director of the Network for Empowered Aid Response
(NEAR), an organization of southern local and national NGOs working to address
global humanitarian and environmental challenges. Ms. Kalfan has more than 12
years of experience in humanitarian, media, development, and government sectors,
primarily in the Horn of Africa and the Middle East.
