The Commission on Health, Conflict, and Forced Displacement is formally launched in Istanbul. Hosted by the Bahçeşehir University, the hybrid event brings together the co-chairs and many commissioners. In his opening remarks, Professor Paul Spiegel emphasises:

We hope that our CHH Lancet Commission on Health, Conflict and Forced Displacement will be able to provide strong recommendations on how to improve the humanitarian system, which currently is not fit for purpose.

The meeting marked a significant milestone for the Commission, uniting the group and launching two years of global collaboration. A second iteration of the event is planned for early 2025.
